Bio
Forgotten by Friday is a Country/Southern Rock band from Stratford, CT. They have made a reputation as not only one of the best original bands in New England, but also as an exciting cover band that brings great energy and awesome musicianship to every Show!
Forgotten by Friday has played extensively at top tier venues throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York City, New Jersey, and Nashville, Tennessee. Highlights include: performing at Showcase Live at Gillette Stadium, being a featured performing artist at Black-eyed Sally’s, the Legendary Toad’s Place and The Webster Theater in Connecticut; the well known Knitting Factory, Local 269, and The National Underground in New York; the Famous Bluebird Café, Douglas Corner, Picts Café, The Commodore, and B.B Kings in Nashville; as well as performing at high profile Music Festivals and Fairs all over the northeast and at one of New Jersey’s largest Fairs – THE FREEDOM FEST. We have opened for many national acts, including; Marshall Tucker, Keith Anderson, Chris Janson, and many more.
We can provide top tier lights and sound for every show, outdoors or indoors. Our experienced musicians can handle a crowd with the best of them, and our cover list and friendly banter have them dancing and laughing ALL NIGHT! On the original side, the band was nominated as finalists in three categories for The 2012 Advocate’s Grand Band Slam Readers Poll Awards. In 2015 the band was nominated for and won in the category of Best Country/Americana in the Connecticut Music Awards (Grand Slam Readers Poll).
Forgotten by Friday PRIDES itself on being a band that can play covers with the best cover bands in New England, AND we have 3 full albums of original music. Whatever your needs are, we can fill them!
Below are some reviews of our original music.
"Stratford's Forgotten by Friday — threads the needle between "Let It Bleed"-era Stones, Charlie Daniels and Zac Brown. "Whiskey & Song," a recent release, dishes out modern country-rock that's wonderfully unpolished." - Michael Hamad, The Harford Courant
“This is a band that understands how to write music. With strong lyrics and great melodies, this is music everyone should hear” - Vic Steffans, Horizon Music Group
“Great songs, phenomenal singing. These guys are doing everything right” - Noah Coakley, New England Americana
"The songs are incredibly well written. They tell stories of hardships, dreams and aspirations. Little pieces of every day living packaged in a musical journey executed with truth and passion. This Americana band is taking their genre of music to new heights." - Rebecca Hosking, SKOPE Magazine
