They have made a reputation as one of the best original bands in New England by playing the top-tier venues from Vermont to Nashville. They bring incredible musicianship with solid songwriting and a fun interactive stage show to their live performances.

6/14/23 - Hey all, the band has some cool news on the merch front…. We've got t-shirts w/ our new logo, Keychain w/ our logo, and more copies of our 2nd album “Whiskey & Song”.  So when you come out to see us next, be sure to pick up some FbF swag.  As always, thank you for your support.

3/30/23 - The band is excited to let you know that it has released yet another song, this one is actually a music video for our song “Moonshine Soul”, which will most likely be on our 3rd album release (still untitled).  Here's the link, check it out and let us know what you think by leaving a comment on our page:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/6md759adu2jz2go/Moonshine%20Soul%201-5-21.mp4?dl=0

3/11/23 - Good morning gang, as promised we have “officially” released our latest song called “Carry me home” for all of our Irish fans and friends.  Here is the link to see/hear it:  https://youtu.be/hN5rl2Mes6I   We hope you enjoy it and please let us know what you think.  If you haven't already please go to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/forgottenbyfriday and like/follow us, it is appreciated.  Also, if you like what you hear, stay tuned for more releases in the coming weeks and months.  2023 is going to be a busy year and we hope you'll come out to see a show or two.  As always, thank you for the love and support.

3/10/23 - Hey all, some exciting news for ya:  FbF will be releasing a “special” song this weekend in honor of the St. Patty's Day holiday.  It's kinda an Irish drinking song…like the Irish really need another song about drinking or reason to get all schnokered up, lol.  Stay tuned for that and please, if you like what you hear pass along the info to as many people that you know that would dig it as well.  Also, later this week, we will be releasing a music video for another new song that has yet to be released, though we've played it at a few shows and people seem to dig it.

3/21/22 - Ok, so it's been awhile since we've written anything, so here it goes.  The band is still a band, even though at times it seemed like it wasn't going to be.  However, like the cockroaches of the music scene, we're still alive and kickin'. First off, regarding members of the band...we'd like to welcome back an old familiar face, Mr. Jon Jensen on acoustic guitar.  Jon was with us a while ago, and after doing a pick-up gig with another country artist, we decided to welcome him back into the fold.  We are still on the lookout for our next lead guitarist and hope that that individual enters the picture sooner rather than later.    We've still been writing and working on songs for the next EP (which will be a 6 banger); we're excited to finish that up, release it, then get back at it and record another.  That's all for now, be on the lookout for us on the regional scene as we're going to be making a push to get out there more...like in the old days when this band first started.

5/22/21 - Forgotten by Friday, A New Beginning

Hey friends and fans! Your favorite local band has begun a new chapter in its
history and we’d like to invite everyone along for the ride. We’ve added a bunch
of new members (Who we’ll be introducing in the very near future), new songs,
and a push into a totally new musical direction. We’re very excited about the
potential this lineup has, and about the new writing style. FbF will be leaving
country behind to get back to its roots in Americana, Southern Soul, and Blues.
Honestly we felt like this change had been coming for a while, and our writing
seemed to naturally pull us in this direction. Now that being said, we’d like to take
the time to thank EVERYONE who has supported us over the years. In the dozen
years of existence, this band has had the pleasure of recording two albums,
playing hundreds of shows to thousands of people, winning awards, and playing
with some fantastic musicians. The ride has been beyond interesting! There has
been both good times and bad, laughter and tears, times of supreme confidence
and times of self doubt. Frankly, I’ve loved every single second of it.
As a celebration of not only where we came, but also of where we’re going, the
band will be putting together a blog of the band’s history. This blog will be written
every two or three weeks, will be released onto our website along with videos
from that period in the bands history. And maybe even some surprise interviews
from former members, fans, and the people who helped us along!
In closing, I can’t say enough to everyone who has taken the time to support us
over the last 12 years. Every time I hear someone playing one of our songs,
wearing one of our shirts, or hear someone talking about the band, it’s a huge
rush for me. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything. We’re
looking forward to bringing you some new music and some new good times!

4/26/21 - Hey all, just an update on "As the band turns", because we've got a whole bunch of new members to introduce to you and can't wait for everyone to catch the new lineup; it's gonna be exciting for sure.  We're getting ready to not only open the door to a new chapter in this band's history, but kick the damn thing down.  Hope you're ready, cause when we start gigging again there's most certainly going to be a buzz going round, and I'm not talking about the bugs in the Summer heat of CT.  We look forward to getting out there soon.  Oh yeah, don't forget, we're still in the midst of writing and recording album #3, which is also another milestone for the band (as we have 2 albums put out independently already).  Stay tuned to all that's going on with the band by checking us out on Facebook or here on our site.  As always thank you for your love and support, and we'll see ya when we see ya.

10/1/20 - Hello and welcome to another addition of "As the band turns", as in turning over a new leaf.  It is with sad, but hopeful hearts, that we have to say that our keyboardist/fiddle player, Mr. Lawrence "Charlton Heston" Wenthen will be leaving the band and headed to greener pastures in the great state of Indiana (Well I come from Indiana with a banjo on my knee, oh Susanna oh don't you cry for me).  Lawrence has been an integral member of Forgotten by Friday over the past 8 years and his influence can be felt on every song on the album "Whiskey & Song" as well as the new songs for the untitled (as of yet) album #3.  He will be sorely missed, and his shoes will be very difficult to fill (as he was our utility man, playing both fiddle and keyboard for the band, as well as the occasional harmonica).  He also wrote and arranged the song "Lights of Richmond" along with Dominic; this song will be on our 3rd album and we can't wait for everyone to hear it.  One final note, we were able to play one last gig this past weekend with Lawrence, called Porchfest, and we had a blast.  It was a great gig, albeit not without it's technical difficulties (having an issue with the direct input for the fiddle caused some grounding issues and a loud humming noise) which unfortunately prevented us from playing "The Devil Went Down To GA" one last time with our guy, but alas, things happen and you have to go on with the show.  As with all things, like in life, we must move on and begin the search for both a new fiddle player and keyboardist...stay tuned for updates.

7/14/20 - Hey gang, just an update on what's been going on with the band.  As mentioned back in April we were going through a growth spurt, and as such we have been on the search for a new co-lead female singer.  Yes, I know, that means that Maria Soaft is no longer a member of the band, and we are all sad to see her go, but wish her well in her future endeavors; whatever they may be.  As they say, the show must go on, so we are pleased to announce our newest band member, Cat Leigh.  Cat has very powerful vocals when needed, yet can be ever so tender in her delivery as well.  She has extensive experience as both a front person and singer in different musical acts as well as in her church.  Cat has also been working on a solo project and has been in the studio recording those vocals.  When we play out again (see our Tour page for upcoming listings....the first one being on Aug 29th at CT Localpalooza VI music festival), please take a moment to extend a warm welcome to Cat for being brought in to the FbF family; we think you'll like what you hear.  Speaking of the studio, now that we have the female lead roll all set, we are going to be going back into the studio to get all the vocal tracks done, as well as some more guitar parts, and percussion.  Once the first batch of songs are done, we may do a special release of a single off of the new album; so stay tuned.  As always, thank you for supporting us through our journey, and we hope you are all staying safe (from Covid as well as all the other issues gripping this country today).  Take care of yourselves, and each other.

4/10/20 - Hey all, we here at Forgotten by Friday are wishing nothing but the best for all of our fans, their families and friends in this strange time known as the Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020.  We trust all of you are doing your best to lower the curve, and staying safe and practicing all of the strategies that have been suggested by those health care professionals in decision-making positions.  Life can hopefully return to normal, and be better than it was before.  Speaking of health care professionals, our very own fearless leader/bassist/lead singer Dominic P. Mauro, works his magic as a Paramedic and is on the front-lines of the day-to-day mess that we find ourselves in.  We applaud him for his efforts and in helping all people in need; please take a moment to thank him personally (either by email, or text, or phone call, or eventually in-person at a show once we are able to return to action).  Now on a more somber musical note, just as the world is going through some upheaval so has the band, call it a bit of a growth spurt (so to speak).  We are working through some possible line-up changes, which we will let everyone know about once it's official.  In the meantime, we've of course, slowed down a bit (as has the world), and as such have been unable to get back into the studio to continue recording album #3.  However, remaining optimistic as we try to do, once things return to normal in the very near future, we will not only be working on finishing the album (as yet to be titled), but working on writing new material, and booking shows at as many venues as will have us.  Feel free to tune in to the band's Facebook page for live streams and videos of Dominic as he sings some of your fave FbF songs, but also some select covers to pass the time.  Peace and positive vibes to all the world, and we can't wait to get back out there and perform for all of you again; I believe we will cry tears of joy when we are actually allowed to do so, but until then take care of yourselves and of each other.

1/9/19 - Here's the news about the latest and greatest with Forgotten by Friday.  We have a new guitar player (once again, which I know you've heard quite a few times before, we get it, it's a running joke within the band as well), but seriously, we'd like to officially welcome Shawn Levin to the fold.  Shawn has quite a bit of experience in the CT scene, being a bar rat since he was too young to even get in through the front door.  He learned to play guitar mainly just for something to do while in the bars.  He got good at playing British Rock to Southern Rock, then to Blues, and now Country Rock (with a little jazz thrown in for flavor).  The man can play anything, especially some slide which sounds pretty sweet on some of the new stuff we've been writing as of late.  Please welcome him to the band when you see us at a gig.  Speaking of new stuff, we are still in the pre-production/writing stages of the 3rd album and must say, we've got some really good tunes for everyone to digest.  This album expects to be a bit more diverse in it's musical offerings and will give you a little bit of everything from Blues, to Rock, to Country, to Pop, to Motown, and we're excited to get into the studio to lay em' down.  We hope to be in the studio by early Fall of 2019, and have it out to everyone by early Spring of 2020.  Check out our shows list as we're always playing out somewhere and hope to see your smiling faces there.

7/9/18 - So it is about that time to update everyone on what's going on with the band.  As of the end of June, the band has parted ways with guitarist Nick Mangan, due to creative differences; we want to thank him for his time in the band and wish him well in his future musical endeavors.  Once again FbF is on the search for a new guitarist and auditions have already begun.  If you are interested in auditioning for the band and feel you have what it takes to be a part of what we do, please reach out to Mike G or Dominick on FaceBook and let us know.  In the meantime, we've got a few fill-in guys (one of them being ex-guitarist Mike Forgette and former Big Ugly guitarist Chris Snowden) to play some of our upcoming shows; with the first one being July 21st at the Main Street Tavern in Stratford, CT.  We'll hopefully find the correct piece of the puzzle to complete the lineup soon, and help to take FbF to the next level.  We're also still working on songs for the next album and it's really shaping up to be something special.  We're looking to start recording sometime in the winter or late spring.  Looking forward to sharing the music with everyone.

4/11/18 - Hello gang, just letting everyone know that the band is still going strong and we're constantly adding new covers to the mix, including some classics like "The Devil Went Down to GA", which we do a pretty good job of if I do say so myself.  We also are still writing songs for the 3rd album, and we've been booking more and more cover shows so we can get out there and entertain the masses, and garner some new fans along the way.  Check out our shows list, would be great to see you at one or more of them.  Also be on the lookout for us at this year's Goshen Stampede, we'll be on the Country 92.5 Main Stage on Father's Day, June 17th, from 1:30 - 2:30, it's gonna be rockin'.

12/10/17 - Hey all, long time no speak.  Just wanted to give an update on the band, looks like we've lost another guitarist, I think somewhere in the woods of New Hampshire maybe; no, but seriously, our rhythm acoustic guitarist Jon Jenson, after a decent stint with the band, has decided to pursue other avenues and we wish him luck.  As a band, we have decided to no longer be a 6 piece, but instead be a 5 piece and go on with just one guitarist.  That person is our current lead and now rhythm guitarist Nick Mangan. Songs are still being written for album # 3 and it's going to be a mixed bag of songs, but one that hopefully has more rockers on it than any of our other albums.  We may be recording and mixing with other producers this time around, just to change it up and see what kind of chemistry we can kindle with someone new.  All of us at Forgotten by Friday would like to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, Happy Festivus, and whatever else your little hearts celebrate.  May the season bring you everything you want, and nothing you don't.

3/5/17 - Ok so just a quick update, the band would like to announce that guitarist Lance Dechane is no longer with the band.  Lance has decided to move on to other things, citing creative differences, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.  We would also like to proudly announce his replacement, Nick Mangan, who is a young and hungry guitarist from northern CT.  The band is currently working on songs for it's third album and are excited to bring you new music.  With the new song writing blend of Dominick, Jon, Nick, Lawrence, and Maria, album number three expects to be the most diverse offering from the band to date.  Some of the songs are beginning to shape up nicely and we're pumped to get back into the studio and lay them down.  We're excited to hear what our new guitarist Nick will be able to bring to the table with his simple, yet very hook laden guitar riffs; stay tuned to our next chapter, it's going to be a great one.

12/22/16 - Hey there everybody, first of all, the band would like to extend it's warmest wishes to all of our fans and new visitors to this site a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and that the new year is filled with good health, happiness, and success for you and your families.  Secondly, we'd like to unfortunately announce that we're on the search again for a new lead guitarist.  Due to creative differences Lance Dechane has decided to move on, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.  We are in the midst of writing album #3 (with some really good songs in the mix) and as you can imagine, losing a member messes with that a bit, however, as is the case, this band is strong willed and can overcome these types of setbacks.  Auditions for a replacement are already in place and we're excited for the future of this band.  Stay tuned for more info regarding show dates and see you in 2017.

5/25/16 - Ok, so it's been a while, but it's because we've been going through some growing pains (again), this time we have a new acoustic guitarist in Jon Jensen, who hails from New Canaan, CT, as well as a new lead guitarist in Mr. Lance Dechane who is from CT as well, and who used to be the lead guitarist for Opey and the Blackouts, a staple of the CT Blues scene for many years.  Please take a moment to welcome each of them to the band the next time you see us at a show.  Speaking of shows, we've just been booked for the Goshen Stampede, June 18th, and we'll be one of the openers for country artist Josh Thompson.  Check our gigs/events page for further details.  Also on the news front, we've been working on new original tunes for album #3, yep that's right, #3, and we've also been working on a ton of covers, so you just might see us doing the occasional all-nighter at a local pub near you.  A few other shows to mention, late this Summer, will be the Tattoo and Music Festival on Aug 20th, the Summer Concert Series for the town of New Canaan, CT on Aug 24th, and the Durham Fair on Sept 25th.  Please check our gig/events page often for details.  We hope everyone has a safe and kick-ass Memorial Day weekend and let's get this Summer started....

11/27/15 - Happy Thanksgiving to all of our "Believers" and "Forget me nots", we truly wish you and yours the best and hope you have many things to be thankful for in life.  We are thankful that we get to make music and share it with all of you and that you enjoy what we do.  We are also thankful for two new additions to the Forgotten by Friday family:  Joe Ayala, on lead guitar and Jon Jensen, on rhythm guitar.  Joe hails from New York and has been on both the NY and CT scenes for quite a while and Jon is a native of CT and has been doing his thing for quite some time as well.  Please help us to welcome them with open arms and we hope then when you come out to see us again that you'll introduce yourself to them; we think you'll like them as much as we all do.

10/4/15 - Hey all, just an update on what's goin' on with the band.  We've been working on some new material and a new stage show, so we can really earn that 2015 CT Music Awards "Best Country Band" title.  We've got a great show coming up next Sat 10/10 as we'll be opening up Harvest Fest sponsored by KICKS 105.5 Today's Best Country Station.  Check out our Tour schedule for more details or visit:  www.ctharvestjam.com , hope to see some friendly faces at the show.
